Stars & Stripes

You think you’ve won it all , the world may seem so small
Its all about the pride , the nations you’ve pushed aside
For victory that you will fight, not bothered if the reasons are right
Diplomacy in the tone, world leaders screaming on the phone

Selling arms around the place, the look of war on your face
Landing in forsaken lands, people against you joining hands
Peace is the name of your game, all it does is leads you to shame
Hit by the floods hit by a plane, all you can do is take god’s name

Where are the words of wisdom, all you do is protect your kingdom
Where are the word of justice, every tourist seems like an accomplice
Where are the words of faith, stop searching the world for a bait
Where are the words of love, why not change the bald eagle into a dove

Opportunistic thoughts dwell in your mind, new warzones you try to find
Space travel to search a new universe, the situation on earth slowly getting worse
Peace is for what you are trying, speakin to the press you go on lying
Cutting out jobs that you’re outsourcing, feels like the pain you are forcing

Just try and look us in the eye, then you wont feel the need to spy
Your behaviour seem so arrogant, your speech sounds so intolerant
War plans that exist in your head, most of the people you want them dead
The innocents you are killing, the pockets you are filling

Where are the words of wisdom, all you do is protect your kingdom
Where are the word of justice, every tourist seems like an accomplice
Where are the words of faith, stop searching the world for a bait
Where are the words of love, why not change the bald eagle into a dove

Empty

I stood in an empty room,
As empty as my heart.
I heard a knock one day,
It was her on the door
The girl I had never found.

Now there were two of us,
And the room didn’t feel empty.
She filled it with her laugh,
She filled it with her cries,
She filled it with her heart.

I knew she was the one,
Right from the day I met her,
A truth I was scared to admit.
I felt like nothing for long time
And she had changed that.

She was my dream,
My world built around her,
But she didn’t see it that way.
As she walked out of the door
I stood in an empty room.

Everyday

As you sit across the room
Staring into a mirror
It keeps telling you, telling you that
Your world is like make up
Slowly fading away.

Hiding pain underneath the layers
Someday they’d wash away
You want to walk away, walk away
From your yesterday
To a brand new day.

A new face on show everyday,
You try to move on
While you lose yourself, lose yourself
You become a memory
In their yesterday.

War Cries

One morning, you wake up
you see smoke in the sky.
Sound of cries, it creeps up
the warplanes flying by.
The gunshots, it shakes up
you hoping not to die.

Oh no, the song of war’s been sung,
the times of chaos have now begun.
The explosions like a bursting sun,
the world slowly losing all its fun.

The fear, it fills,
soldier with a knife.
The peace, it kills,
you praying for your life.
The leaders, and their thrills,
never cease from a strife.

Felt lost, in sadness
bodies lying all around.
The innocent, left homeless,
houses burnt to the ground.
The children, left hapless,
families yet to be found.

Wrap up, the war’s been finally won.
nations have lost out on their space.
There’s no more warpaint on our face.
Our world’s been left an empty place.

Words Unspoken

My heart wants to say what’s inside,
but my mind finds a place to hide.
These feelings i try keep in check,
to stop me from being a wreck.

All this while you never see,
what you will always mean to me.
In those words left unspoken,
for the path you have chosen

Wish I could tell you everyday,
you’re the sunshine in my grey,
like the scent of earth in the rain
you could make gold out of my pain.

A part of me feels so empty ,
with your thoughts in my memory.
Having you around I feel grateful,
I choose to see my glass as half full.

While I’ve been in love before,
but the feeling never felt so sure.
In my dreams I hold your hand everyday,
but the reality is that you’re far away.

I’d give up everything for you,
I’d fight the world to make it true,
so that I can be yours and could be mine
And I wouldn’t be your life’s blurry line.

Colors

Life’s like a water color
Watch it go side to side
Don’t you try to control
Let it loose, let it flow
And watch it’s magic show
On your eye’s canvas

Colors like moments
Each of them so vivid
Mix them on life’s palette
Some good, some bad
But don’t you worry
There’s another life to live
Another canvas to fill.
